Last night’s Selfhelp Community Services Gala was more than…

Last night’s Selfhelp Community Services Gala was more than an event — it was a powerful reminder of legacy, resilience, and the impact one organization can have on generations.

On behalf of NY Best Medical , it was a true honor to stand alongside Selfhelp, an organization that has done so much for Holocaust survivors and for communities across New York. Their mission is not only noble , it’s personal.

As the son and grandson of Holocaust survivors, Selfhelp’s work is deeply meaningful to me. They don’t just provide services , they preserve dignity. They don’t just care for the elderly , they carry forward the stories, the struggles, and the strength of a generation that endured the unimaginable.

A heartfelt thank you to Stuart Kaplan , CEO of Selfhelp Community Services for 25 years of extraordinary leadership and unwavering commitment. Stuart , your dedication has been a guiding light for this mission, and your impact will be felt for decades to come.

We were also moved and inspired to see Lori Stokes honored for her 8 years of passionate service. Her voice, presence, and advocacy have elevated Selfhelp’s mission and reminded us all of the power of compassion and consistency.

To be in a room filled with survivors, supporters, and changemakers — that’s the kind of night that stays with you.

May we continue to honor the past, serve the present, and build a future where dignity, memory, and care are never forgotten.
